Mental health and substance use health initiatives

Counselling Connect provides free one-on-one counselling and support groups. It is for people of all ages. Counselling Connect is available in Ottawa and the surrounding area. This includes from Renfrew to Cornwall and the places in between. Counselling Connect provides free phone, in-person and video counselling. Individual appointments are often available within days. The counselling is from more than 100 counsellors from more than 20 community-based mental health and substance use organizations. Appointments can be made through the website.

Counselling Connect is client-led and focused on equity. This service is for everyone: children, youth, adults and families in Ottawa and the surrounding area. Counsellors of diverse backgrounds and experience provide counselling Connect services. This includes Indigenous communities; African, Caribbean and Black communities; other racialized communities; and LGBT2SQ+ communities. Counsellors speak English, French, Arabic, Spanish, Cantonese and more.
